My Work experience

Since beginning my career in 2007, I have worked with diverse clients and settings, each step enriching my understanding of human resilience and mental health support. My journey began as an Instructor and Therapist at Glen Eden School in Vancouver, BC, where I also volunteered as a Crisis Interventionist at the Vancouver Crisis Line. My passion for helping others led me to the Master’s program in Counselling Psychology at the University of Western Ontario, where I completed an intensive internship at Fanshawe College, providing crisis and suicide prevention counselling. This period deepened my commitment to supporting people through difficult moments, both in individual and family contexts.

After completing my Master's in 2010, I returned to Vancouver and worked as a Career Strategist, helping clients discover their strengths and navigate life transitions. Later that year, I joined the University of the Fraser Valley as a Counsellor—a role I cherished for five years. Working with a diverse student body, I offered crisis support and personal, academic, and career guidance during pivotal times in students' lives. In 2013, I co-founded Heartfulness Counselling and Psychotherapy, where I focused on relationship counselling, anger management, and self-esteem. This endeavour allowed me to work closely with clients to cultivate resilience and foster healthier relationships.

In 2016, an incredible opportunity arose to live abroad, and to continue serving my wonderful clients, I transitioned to a solo practice and founded Global Therapy with Viktoria. My goal was to provide essential services virtually, reaching clients far and wide as I embarked on my new adventure. When I returned to Vancouver, BC, in 2018, I chose to keep my practice mostly virtual to make counselling more accessible to everyone. None of us could have anticipated that the pandemic would soon follow, making virtual counselling an invaluable resource at just the right time.

From 2017 to 2022, I had the incredible honour of joining LoveDoneWell, a relationship and couples therapy practice, as an associate. Working alongside the founder, Edel Walsh, and training in the ‘Developmental Couples Therapy Model’ was transformative. Not only did this training elevate my professional skills, but it also personally saved my own relationship, which was on the rocks at that time.

Continuous growth and development are core values for me, both professionally and personally. I am deeply committed to refining my craft as a psychotherapist through ongoing training, peer consultations, and professional supervision. My current focus is on deepening my expertise in relationship and couples therapy through the Developmental Model and enhancing my EMDR therapy skills. This commitment allows me to provide the highest level of support to my clients, ensuring I stay current with the most effective practices in the field.

my APPROACHES

In my practice, I integrate a variety of therapeutic approaches, including somatic, narrative, CBT, Gestalt, EFT, and humanistic modalities, to tailor treatment to each client's unique needs. While I draw upon these diverse methods, my work primarily centres around three core approaches listed below in which I have undertaken extensive study and training.
